Where To Begin
Due to the demand for our babies, our litters frequently sell out before they arrive. We highly recommend that families desiring an Ash River Puppy, secure a spot on our Reservations List. This involves placing a non-refundable, but transferable $100 deposit to reserve the puppy of your preference. Transferable means that, should your first (and/or second) preference not be available in the litter, your deposit will transfer to the following litter(s) as top priority until it has been satisfied. Families are notified in order of their placement/preference on the List. Deposits are applied to the purchase price of your puppy once you have made your selection.
Since Blue merle coloration is the most popular preference for families, a second preference is encouraged. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we strive to make your request for specific sex/ color our priority. Some families opt to be considered for an Ash River puppy without color/sex preference. This is often the best route for obtaining a baby from an upcoming litter or specific parent pair.
We are very particular when it comes to placing our babies and prefer to carry on at least one phone conversation with potential families. We want to hear their hearts and get a feel for their needs as a family. In addition, we can explain our Puppy policies, Reservation Procedures, and answer pertinent questions about the breed itself. It is also very important to us that our families get a feel for us as well, and gain insight as to who we are as Aussie Lovers and Breeders, thereby ascertaining if our puppies and our Kennel are a good fit for their family. Establishing a rapport is key in relationships, and we like our families to feel comfortable with us as we move forward into sharing the Aussie Life together. This has always been our priority, and we like to think it means a lot to families as they make the important decision of adding one of our little ones to their lives.
Once everyone is comfortable moving forward, families are free to submit their Reservation Retainer utilizing an Electronic Payment method or a Cashier’s Check.
When the litter arrives, we allow several days to pass as we ascertain that all is well and that our babies are progressing as they should before announcing their birth. After that, we begin at the top of our list contacting families per their requested preference of puppy. As each is reserved in order, we move along from there. This process takes a bit of time, but usually less than a week.
If your family should opt to reserve an Ash River baby from the available litter, the first Installment of the Purchase Price is due. This $300 Deposit secures your chosen Puppy; further installments can be made along the way or the remainder will be due in cash at the time of pickup.
Our Puppies are $2000.
We understand what an exciting time this is for our families so, we like to send weekly updates to keep our families abreast of their puppy’s progress. They are usually sent out Mondays or Tuesdays, but no later than Wednesdays. These updates include pictures, a report on how your Ash River Baby is progressing, and information/ FAQ's that address age specific developmental milestones. We find this is a great way to build that ever so important rapport, and make the time to Puppy Pickup Day pass more quickly!
